END OF LEASE CLEANING FAQS
When you book an end of lease cleaning with us for your north shore property, your bond cleaners will follow our special bond cleaning checklist, which includes a thorough cleaning of all rooms in your property, as well as oven cleaning, window cleaning, cleaning the insides of all cupboards and drawers, spot cleaning of walls, and other extras such as cleaning the skirting boards, extractor fans, range hood, light fittings, and so on.
Every rental property is a bit different. The size and condition of the property factor in to the cost of an end of lease cleaning.
Generally speaking, we quote costs based on the number of bedrooms and bathrooms in the property.
In addition, if the property requires a deeper clean on certain items or rooms, this may increase the cost. For example, a property which as been lived in by pets or young children often requires steam cleaning of carpets or additional wall cleaning. However, we will of course let you know this before we begin cleaning.
Due to the fact that not everyone requires carpet steam cleaning, this service is not included as part of the standard bond cleaning service. Of course, if you require it, we can add the carpet steam cleaning service to your booking.
Typically, if you have carpet in your rental property, you may require steam cleaning if any of the following conditions exist:
1. You have pets and/or young children in your household.
2. You’ve been a resident of the property for a number of years.
3. Your agent has informed you that you must have it completed.
According to Fair Trading tenants need to leave the property “reasonably clean, considering how clean the property was at the start of the tenancy”.
This is normally assessed by comparing the property to the cleanliness and condition documented in the ingoing condition report from when you originally moved in.
Due to the nature of an end of lease cleaning, we don’t simply clean for a set number of hours. Rest assured our cleaners will only leave once they have fully cleaned all areas on the cleaning checklist and your property is ship shape for the final inspection.
Absolutely you can! In fact a ton of our clients have done just this.
Our cleaners can give your new home a thorough top to toe clean before you move in so you can simply un-box, order the take out and relax in your new place.
When booking a move in clean, ideally the property should be vacant and devoid of furniture and personal things so that we can do a thorough job. Additionally, you should bear in mind that we’ll need the property to have access to running water and power for the clean.
Yes, this one is important. In order for us to prepare your rental property to pass final inspection, the property must be emptied of both furniture and your belongings so we can get into all the nooks and crannies.
